Joe L. Garrigo

"Lost Marbles President"

President

Beginning his career in interior and graphic design, Joe quickly left to join the entertainment world, studying drama and vocal training. A creative writer, composer, designer, director and producer, he has developed his career both offstage and onstage.

His onstage background as a performer was instrumental in teaching him ways and means to elicit emotions from and connect with an audience, which have been essential tools in the design of attractions and shows in theme park environments. His acting career includes leading roles in prominent productions like Les Misérables, Beauty and the Beast, Sweeney Todd, Candide, The Three Pennies Opera, and Man of la Mancha. He has recorded several musical albums and gigging touring though Europe, North and South America. Offstage background includes authoring and direction of two musicals: Jake & Elwood and Pinotxo and many other shows.

While CEO of Jolibud BCN, he created and developed a large number of event shows and below the line campaigns for the Omnicom Group and for a wide range of brands.

As for the parks field, he has design, production and directing credits for attractions and shows in La Atlantida, Port Aventura, and Warner Movie Park in Spain.  He originated Micropolix, an award-winning immersive learning by playing 118,000 sq ft kids park concept, spending eight years as General Creative Director there, developing all manner of immersive attractions and other projects for the concept expansion around the world.

Now at Immersive Planet he is proud to bring an innovative view in design for projects around the world, leading the most creative, skilled, crazy and passionate team he has ever has the chance to work with.

Kenton Steinhardt

"Chaos Arranger"

Senior Project Coordinator

Originally from the US, Kenton has a background in sales and marketing, working as an account manager and Head of Marketing in various industries. Combining his business qualifications with team leadership experience, he brings a thorough mix of professional assets to his projects.

Kenton finally found his true calling in the entertainment industry working at Immersive Planet, where he gets to apply his skills to what he considers to be the “most fun job in the world”. You can always spot him throughout the day running meetings with clients and negotiating with vendors followed immediately by playing games with his colleagues. He really is a big kid at heart that truly belongs with the innovative and fun team at Immersive Planet.

Ayla Garrigo

"Magic Secrets Keeper"

Project Coordinator

Born as a mixture of cultures, she considers herself a citizen of the world and loves the different cultures and uniqueness of every place, which is one of the things that made her enter the communication and corporate and personal branding field. Never one to settle, Ayla decided to study the only triple degree Spain offered.

In five years, she conquered a degree in Journalism, one in Advertising Communications and one in Audiovisual and Multimedia Communications.

She has worked as a community manager in companies such as the International Classical Theater Festival of Almagro and in production in companies such JOLIBUD BCN, SL. Not tired of learning new things, she spent two years managing the marketing department of LR Health & Beauty Systems, and a couple more as an account executive in an advertising agency, La Fábrica de Sombreros, for which she managed accounts such as Chupa Chups, Mentos, Smint, Esade, Barcelona City Council, etc.

Powers: She can sell ice to an eskimo. Plus, her knowledge (obsession) in weird and different things (Moto GP racing, songs, New England Patriots, sharks, Make Up, etc) can come in handy as a background in branding and communication models or just as random facts.

Weaknesses: Ayla gets nervous when people keep spelling her name wrong. Plus, she is always humming a new song.

August Banegas

"Rubikube’s Surgeon"

Head of Operations Manager

August firmly believes the entertainment industry has to be reoriented.

He has spent 90% of his professional career offering high level services to final users and from the very beginning August believed that the long success of business is not by selling at the best price or explaining how things are done. Using these methods, it is easy to be overcome, and earlier than you think. The clue of success is to spread an idea, spread like a virus (an idea is the most fantastic virus created by a human being), and this idea is: if you cross our doors, you will be immersed in a fantastic world. Crossing our turnstiles you will reach the Walhalla. That’s not an entrance. It is The Entrance, the Key to your paradise.

August is in this industry to have fun with his partners, his guests… all friends. Let’s go, all together through the looking glass!

Violeta Jordan

"Finance Acrobatics"

CFO

Violeta has always had a knack for managing and controlling everything around her. It’s kind of scary, really. Like a superpower. Everyone that knows her knows that she is the person to reach for if there is any problem to be solved, and that’s why we knew we needed her.

She has worked in administration in the “Centre Dramatic de la Generalitat” and since then has been CFO at Nusky SCP and for more than 16 years at her own event company, JOLIBUD BCN, SL.

Since joining Immersive’s team, she has graced us with a thousand organized folders that keep everything in track and easy to find, with her obsession with candles and with the resolution of a machine to tackle every task.

Juan Pablo Saucedo Villañafe

"Director of Empty Spaces"

Head Architect

Juan Pablo graduated in Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB-UPC) in 1994, specializing on building and town planning.

He couldn’t wait to obtain his degree to start working on architecture so he combined the studies with an intensive professional dedication on prestigious architecture and town planning offices in Barcelona and Paris, coinciding with the Olympic transformation of the city. Juan Pablo also created his own office in 1986 with some university colleagues, winning their first competition before their official graduation, fact that definitely matched the end of the studies.

All along that time, he had the opportunity to draw on watercolor some of the largest projects of Barcelona, working for the municipality and other private town planning companies.

On 1996 he became partner of “Vega, Verdaguer i Villafañe, arquitectes, SLP” working hard an passionately on public and private building projects, some of them remarkable like Fundació Blanquerna’s library, the faculty of Health Sciences of Ramón LLull University, Sabadells Sud Library and other important buildings in Catalonia.

His first experience on theme parks was the creation of Micrópolix, in San Sebastian de los Reyes, Madrid, leading the design team and becoming the technical director of the whole project, from 2005 to 2009. Working on that project, which at the beginning was no more than a basic idea and a strong desire, he met Joe (Immersive Planet’s CEO) with whom he shares that special child’s curiosity, passion and respect that has kept them working together up until now.

Other professional activities: asset management teacher at catalan architecture association, technical director of the Fundació Blanquerna architecture department (from 1999 to 2015) and consultant for real estate investments in Barcelona.

But the most important knowledge achieved by JP after living in 4 countries and working in 10 more is his sense of universality, openness and multicultural attitude.
